June’s open contest saw some beautifully shot entries; but none more popular with the Shutter Nutters members than this photo by Suvajit Mukherjee. Entitled “Childhood Days”, this picture is representative of his favourite genre of photography; street photography.
Suvajit is a freelance photographer based in Kolkata, in India. Winning Shutter Nutters’ photo of the month is not the highest accolade he has. Suvajit has many achievements to his name including; publications in National Geographic and runner up in the SITTP Life on the Streets contest.
His love affair with photography started in 2015, to which he found a passion for street photography and photojournalism. Inspired by his heroes; Raghu Rai, Steve Maccury, and Alex Webb: Suvajit chooses to take shots that draw him in based on emotion that exhumes from his subjects in every corner of his city.
